‘Songs of Solitude’ was an international contemporary digital cross-art form collaboration between Kalaboration Arts in the U.K. and Art Langar Pakistan, which created an Artistic response to the recorded stories of a Christian family in Islamabad and a Pakistani migrant family in Birmingham, and their unique experiences of belonging to minority communities within their respective countries while dealing with loss of a family member and life under lock-down. The project was supported by Transforming Narratives – a ground-breaking three-year project to establish Birmingham as a leading international centre for contemporary Pakistani and Bangladeshi arts, for the mutual benefit of Birmingham and cities in Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is managed by Culture Central, supported by Arts Council England and delivered in association with The British Council.
