‘Maqaam – Life after Corona’ is a 16-episode online documentary series that explores the urgent questions and transformative ideas shaping our future. Through insightful interviews with experts, thought leaders, and change-makers from diverse fields, the series delves into critical social, political, economic, and ecological challenges—offering informed perspectives and imaginative solutions relevant to Pakistan and the wider world. The project was conceived, in partnership with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Pakistan, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic—a global event that interrupted the relentless pace of human progress and exposed the vulnerabilities of modern systems. As the world came to a standstill, the pandemic offered a rare opportunity for reflection, prompting individuals and societies to reconsider their values, priorities, and visions for the future.
